Skill mastery
Complete a practice session to earn a star. Accuracy above 70% earns two stars; above 90% earns three.
Divide powers
Practice dividing powers with equal bases or equal exponents.
To divide powers with the same base, keep the base and subtract the exponent in the denominator from the exponent in the numerator:
$$a^m:a^n=a^{m-n}$$, where $a\neq 0$
Division by zero is undefined, so the base must be nonzero: $a\neq 0$.
If the exponents are equal and the bases differ, divide the bases and keep the exponent:
$$a^n:b^n=\left(\frac{a}{b}\right)^n$$, where $b\neq 0$
