Skill mastery
Complete a practice session to earn a star. Accuracy above 70% earns two stars; above 90% earns three.
Multiply powers
Practice multiplying powers with equal and different bases.
An exponent tells you how many times the base is used as a factor: $$a^n=\underbrace{a\cdot a\cdot \ldots \cdot a}_{n\text{ \text{times}}}$$, where $a$ is the base and $n$ is the exponent.
To multiply powers with the same base, keep the base and add the exponents: $a^m\cdot a^n=a^{m+n}$.
To multiply powers with different bases and the same exponent, multiply the bases and keep the exponent: $a^n\cdot b^n=(ab)^n$.
