Column addition: two digits with regrouping
Practice adding two-digit numbers in columns, regrouping from the ones column to the tens column.
Add the ones. Write the last digit of the sum in the ones column and carry the tens to the next column. Then add the tens, including the carried digit.
At each step, enter the digit of the sum and any carried digit. For example, when adding 47 and 38, carry 1 from the ones column. Choose the session length and time allowed per question. Select “Show answer” to see the complete solution.
